Pre-K Classes

Reading aloud will provide  rich foundation for literacy development.  It is the single most important activity for reading success, providing children with a demonstration of phrased, fluent reading.  Read aloud will reveal the rewards of reading and develop the reader's interest in books and desire to be a reader.  Topics/stories will vary from week to week based on children feedback and areas of interest as well as classic children literature.

This class is designed for preschoolers in order to gain a basic understanding of how weather works and how it affects our daily lives.  The main topics included in this unit are, learning about the local weather, seasons, forecasting, and how to prepare for certain kinds of inclement weather.  Some additional themes will pertain to the water cycle, gardening and how we get the foods we eat.  As always, I like to lace each class with how our Heavenly Father is Powerful over all things including the weather.  I am looking forward to another fun session!

This will be a time for the children to explore the things around them. Some of the things they will be able to do is  build with blocks and play with trains. Make some fun noise with musical instruments and have fun playing with bubbles.
